  1. Zwieback and Biscuit – Both means “baked twice”

  2. I’m guessing… The first picture is a rusk and the second picture is a biscuit… a rusk ( hardened bread ) is sometimes called beskuit, etc.

  4. the first pic is that of a zwieback. the name comes from German zwei, meaning “two”, and backen, meaning “to bake”.
    the second pic is just bisuits. and it origins are as follows:
    french: bescuit meaning “twice cooked”
    latin: bis coctus meaning “(bread) twice baked”.

    and hence the etymological connect..
